About Me
Behind the lens, I’m a storyteller — in every day life, I’m a student.
Welcome to The Neighborhood! My name is Nic, I'm from Baltimore, and I'm a special education teacher turned photographer. My journey began in 2016 with flowers on iPhones: The stillness and beauty of nature inspired me. As time passed, I became dedicated to the portrayal and the representation of my community. While my focus may have changed, my vision remains the same: to capture beauty in every moment.
My work has taken me from Baltimore to New York Fashion Week — with a couple of local billboards in-between. However, my foundation remains in the classroom. For the past eight years, I’ve served as a Special Education teacher in D.C. This experience has shaped me into a photographer who prioritizes patience, empathy, and connection above all else.
As a self-taught artist with a passion for the "physics of feeling", I use lighting and technical precision to make every portrait feel like a piece of art. Whether we are in a studio or a quiet family home, my goal is simple: to create a safe, welcoming, and celebratory space where you feel seen exactly as you are and where you look your best.
I don't just take your picture; I hold space for your story. Let’s create something timeless together.
